“My Earth My Duty” — Earth Festival

Organized in collaboration with the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) youth club, the Earth Festival bring together 150 beneficiaries at Purba Showraberia for a weeklong celebration of environmental awareness and action. The highlight is a plantation drive led by local youth, planting trees and committing to care for them throughout the year. The festival serves as a powerful reminder that protecting the earth is not just a duty but a collective responsibility we all share.

Rabindranath Tagore’s Birthday

We celebrate the 162nd birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore with village children, organizing a recitation competition that brought to life the poet’s timeless words. The event reminds children that education, art, and culture are inseparable from the identity of Bengal.

Independence Day

India’s Independence Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm at our community grounds. After the national flag is unfurled, children put up a vibrant cultural performance featuring patriotic songs, dances, and skits — a tribute to the freedom fighters who made our independence possible.

Foundation Day & Children’s Day

The organisation’s Foundation Day is celebrated alongside Sishu Divas (Children’s Day) and the birthday of Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru. The day features an annual cultural and sports event where children compete in various games and showcase their talents. It was a day of joy, pride, and reflection on the journey we have travelled and the road ahead.

Cloth Distribution for Elderly

On this day, warm clothings are distributed to helpless and destitute elderly people in the community, ensuring they have protection from the harsh winter months. A small gesture of care that reminds them they are not forgotten.

Republic Day

Republic Day is celebrated with the villagers, reaffirming our commitment to the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution — justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity. The day begins with flag hoisting and is followed by community gatherings that remind everyone of their rights and responsibilities as proud citizens of India.
